Subject: Anybody use Kbarcode?

Or, I should say, anybody use Kbarcode with MySql?

It installs very easy on Debian, with just two apt-gets. One for the
package itself and one for the mysql driver. It prints a single barcode
using the Generator just fine, so I know that the base package works.

But I can't get the batch print to work. It connects to the database and
loads the sample files ok, in fact, everything else seems to work. I can
see the proper sample database from a separate MySql admin window.

But when I click print (to a file, printer, or image), the window goes
away immediately and leaves the main menu. Testing it by requesting ten
thousand barcodes gives no delay for the button press or any hard drive
activity so it is obviously not even trying to print. (Batch printing /
Filename / Print articles from SQL database / Number of labels / Serial
Number / Print to a printer or Create image).

I have grepped all thru /var/log for a log file but apparently it doesn't
log or is blowing up before it can. The Mysql log has nothing either.

Googling hasn't given me a single hit about someone having problems like
this, so I assume that the problem is on my end. (Although having a half
speed dialup doesn't make for really intensive searching).

The forum at kbarcode.net has been removed because of actions of the German
government. (Strange message there). You don't suppose that Como got to
them, also?

So, anybody out there use it or got any ideas?

Thanks
Tom
